The International Computer Chess Tournament in Paderborn is different in that it is an invitational tournament. The Baron managed to get an invitation for the first time in 2004 and played in 2005 as well. Although most participants are German, the tournament is one of the strongest.

Unfortunately, the tournament moved to the week between Christmas and New Year. That makes it hard for me to participate in future editions.
